God Philosophy and Metaphysics

When you are discussing God Philosophy, it really comes down to what spiritual school of thought you are coming from, and it merely comes down to interpretation. Metaphysically speaking, it’s an accepted belief that that God is not Anthrpomorphic, meaning God is not made in the image of man.

For example, when I was a child, I often thought of God as being a older man with a white robe and long beard, sitting on a golden throne. As I grew spiritually, I extinguished that particular perception of God from my mind.

So how does one define God?. I think the best defintion that explains God in as few words as possible, is pure light energy. I know many may have a hard time with this conceptualization of God, however, that’s the single best way to define God from a higher spiritual perspective without further elaboration. If you explore different religions and spiritual viewpoints, you may hear God being named in such terms as:

  • Source
  • Love
  • Universal Mind
  • I AM
  • Omnipotence
  • All That Is

Unlike other paranormal areas within the study of metaphysics, proving the existence of God is more faith and intuition based. For those who are on a spiritual path, it’s more of a deep knowing that cannot be conveyed in words, nor can it be tested.

It's like trying to prove by methods of testing that consciousness exists. It's something that really can't be done, although you know that the reality of it persists.
